Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
Serving EMS, fire, law enforcement, and 911 personnel across the Southern Alleghenies region.

Regional CISM Support for Pennsylvania Responders
The SAEMS CISM Team provides structured stress intervention services to emergency responders following critical incidents.
Our trained peer team delivers interventions that:
- Reduce acute stress reactions
- Prevent escalation of symptoms
- Support adaptive functioning
- Connect responders with
additional care when appropriate
We provide both on-scene and post-incident support based on agency needs.
SAEMS coordinates regional CISM services for EMS agencies and public safety partners within the Southern Alleghenies. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania regulates EMS operations through the Department of Health and the Bureau of EMS. SAEMS does not administer statewide EMS systems; we provide regional coordination and responder wellness support.
