How EMS Continuing Education Credits Are Reported
When a provider successfully completes an approved course in Train PA:
- Continuing education credits are automatically transferred to the provider’s PA EMS Registry account.
- Credits appear under the provider’s certification record once processing is complete.
To ensure proper credit reporting:
- Your demographic information in the PA EMS Registry must match your Train PA account information.
- Your certification number must be entered correctly in your Train PA profile.
If account information does not match, credit reporting may be delayed or rejected.
Frequently Asked Questions About Train PA
I completed a course but don’t see my credits. What should I do?
Allow up to 24 hours for credits to transfer. If credits do not appear, confirm your certification number and demographic information match in both systems.
Do I need a separate Train PA account?
Yes. Train PA requires its own account, but your profile must align with your PA EMS Registry information for credit transfer.
How do I update my name or contact information?
To change your name in the PA Registry, you must send SAEMS a copy of your legal name change court documents (marriage certificate/license, divorce decree/notice of intention to resume prior surname, etc.).
