Tuition Reimbursement

The Southern Alleghenies EMS Council Board of Directors has approved a portion of the PA State Rural Training Funds to be utilized to fund tuition expenses for students who have completed an initial EMS education training program at the EMR, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic levels in Pennsylvania. If you (as an individual or an agency) paid tuition for one of these programs, the tuition may be eligible for reimbursement, if all conditions below are met:

  1. The student successfully completed an EMR, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic program
between July 1, 2023 to present.
  2. The student attempted both the NREMT psychomotor and cognitive exams.
  3. The student resides in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon or Somerset County.
  4. Tuition was not covered by grants, scholarships, or government monies.

However, if your tuition was not paid in full, the agency may still be eligible for reimbursement; please contact our office for more information.
